Fox News just published an article on their website with news that the White House has made plans to end the Cash for Clunkers program this Monday. Check out this exerpt from Fox News:

“Through Thursday, auto dealers have made deals worth $1.9 billion and are on pace to exhaust the program’s $3 billion in early September. The incentives have generated more than 457,000 vehicle sales. Administration officials said they have reviewed nearly 40 percent of the transactions and have already paid out $145 million to dealers.”

The program accomplished it’s goal of taking fuel inneficient cars of of the streets. As if spending $3 billion on the program wasn’t enough, 6 out of 10 of the most sold cars through Cash for Clunkers were foreign. So all of those sells didn’t do a thing to stimulate our economy.

This is the first post in a series of posts I am writing regarding the propaganda surrounding Obama Care. This series is designed to seperate fact from fiction in regards to Obama Care. For those of you who oppose health care reform, I hope this seriest will arm you with the facts to oppose the propaganda coming from Washington and the Media. For you readers who support Obama Care, I hope that after reading this you will understand that Obama Care will not improve our health care, instead it will only cripple it further.

Those who support health care reform will try to tell you that our health care is in dire need of reform, and that Obama Care will better it. This is simply untrue. Sure our health care system isn’t perfect, but when it comes to emergency care and specialized treatment, our health care out performs others where health care is regulated and rationed out to the people by government. Although they won’t admit it, Obama Care will do just that. The public option presented in Obama Care,(by the way, Obama will not take this out of health care reform, no matter what he says on TV) is a government regulated alternative to private insurance that become the main source of health care for Americans if the American Affordable Health Choices Act assumes full implementation in 2011.

Another frightning aspect of Obama Care is the massive spending involved. Ever since Obama got elected, the administration has been spending us into oblivion. Earlier this year, Congress passed the Economic Recovery Act of 2009, which cost a total of $800 billion. If passed, Obama Care will cost over $1 trillion! One day we will pay for all of the spending in Washington. It is critically important to our nation that we stop this massive spending. Already Washington has buried our country in debt that will take years of effort by we the people to get out of.

It is very disappointing to know that so many Americans either don’t know or don’t care about the poor decisions that politicians make these days. If more Americans cared about the welfare of their country, these idiots would not have ever been elected. It is our job to educate ourselves of the world around us, and to speack out in defence of our beliefs. This current crisis has arisen from our lack of ability to stand up and fight for what we believe in. Let’s take back our country.

As more and more Americans rally against health care reform as proposed by the Obama administration, those who support it are getting more and more desperate. Earlier this week, David Axelrod, Senior Adviser to the President, sent an e-mail off to several Americans in an attempt to counter the “lies and distortions” that we who care about our country have spread regarding Obama care. In the e-mail, Axelrod stated the following:

” At the end of my email, you’ll find a lot of information about health insurance reform, distilled into 8 ways reform provides security and stability to those with or without coverage, 8 common myths about reform and 8 reasons we need health insurance reform now.”

Here is the list he is referring to:

8 ways reform provides security and stability to those with or without coverage

1. Ends Discrimination for Pre-Existing Conditions: Insurance companies will be prohibited from refusing you coverage because of your medical history.
2. Ends Exorbitant Out-of-Pocket Expenses, Deductibles or Co-Pays: Insurance companies will have to abide by yearly caps on how much they can charge for out-of-pocket expenses.
3. Ends Cost-Sharing for Preventive Care: Insurance companies must fully cover, without charge, regular checkups and tests that help you prevent illness, such as mammograms or eye and foot exams for diabetics.
4. Ends Dropping of Coverage for Seriously Ill: Insurance companies will be prohibited from dropping or watering down insurance coverage for those who become seriously ill.
5. Ends Gender Discrimination: Insurance companies will be prohibited from charging you more because of your gender.
6. Ends Annual or Lifetime Caps on Coverage: Insurance companies will be prevented from placing annual or lifetime caps on the coverage you receive.
7. Extends Coverage for Young Adults: Children would continue to be eligible for family coverage through the age of 26.
8. Guarantees Insurance Renewal: Insurance companies will be required to renew any policy as long as the policyholder pays their premium in full. Insurance companies won’t be allowed to refuse renewal because someone became sick.

Learn more and get details: http://www.WhiteHouse.gov/health-insurance-consumer-protections/

8 common myths about health insurance reform

1. Reform will stop “rationing” – not increase it: It’s a myth that reform will mean a “government takeover” of health care or lead to “rationing.” To the contrary, reform will forbid many forms of rationing that are currently being used by insurance companies.
2. We can’t afford reform: It’s the status quo we can’t afford. It’s a myth that reform will bust the budget. To the contrary, the President has identified ways to pay for the vast majority of the up-front costs by cutting waste, fraud, and abuse within existing government health programs; ending big subsidies to insurance companies; and increasing efficiency with such steps as coordinating care and streamlining paperwork. In the long term, reform can help bring down costs that will otherwise lead to a fiscal crisis.
3. Reform would encourage “euthanasia”: It does not. It’s a malicious myth that reform would encourage or even require euthanasia for seniors. For seniors who want to consult with their family and physicians about end-of life decisions, reform will help to cover these voluntary, private consultations for those who want help with these personal and difficult family decisions.
4. Vets’ health care is safe and sound: It’s a myth that health insurance reform will affect veterans’ access to the care they get now. To the contrary, the President’s budget significantly expands coverage under the VA, extending care to 500,000 more veterans who were previously excluded. The VA Healthcare system will continue to be available for all eligible veterans.
5. Reform will benefit small business – not burden it: It’s a myth that health insurance reform will hurt small businesses. To the contrary, reform will ease the burdens on small businesses, provide tax credits to help them pay for employee coverage and help level the playing field with big firms who pay much less to cover their employees on average.
6. Your Medicare is safe, and stronger with reform: It’s myth that Health Insurance Reform would be financed by cutting Medicare benefits. To the contrary, reform will improve the long-term financial health of Medicare, ensure better coordination, eliminate waste and unnecessary subsidies to insurance companies, and help to close the Medicare “doughnut” hole to make prescription drugs more affordable for seniors.

7. You can keep your own insurance: It’s myth that reform will force you out of your current insurance plan or force you to change doctors. To the contrary, reform will expand your choices, not eliminate them.
8. No, government will not do anything with your bank account: It is an absurd myth that government will be in charge of your bank accounts. Health insurance reform will simplify administration, making it easier and more convenient for you to pay bills in a method that you choose. Just like paying a phone bill or a utility bill, you can pay by traditional check, or by a direct electronic payment. And forms will be standardized so they will be easier to understand. The choice is up to you – and the same rules of privacy will apply as they do for all other electronic payments that people make.

8 Reasons We Need Health Insurance Reform Now

1. Coverage Denied to Millions: A recent national survey estimated that 12.6 million non-elderly adults – 36 percent of those who tried to purchase health insurance directly from an insurance company in the individual insurance market – were in fact discriminated against because of a pre-existing condition in the previous three years or dropped from coverage when they became seriously ill. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/denied_coverage/index.html
2. Less Care for More Costs: With each passing year, Americans are paying more for health care coverage. Employer-sponsored health insurance premiums have nearly doubled since 2000, a rate three times faster than wages. In 2008, the average premium for a family plan purchased through an employer was $12,680, nearly the annual earnings of a full-time minimum wage job. Americans pay more than ever for health insurance, but get less coverage. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/hiddencosts/index.html
3. Roadblocks to Care for Women: Women’s reproductive health requires more regular contact with health care providers, including yearly pap smears, mammograms, and obstetric care. Women are also more likely to report fair or poor health than men (9.5% versus 9.0%). While rates of chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure are similar to men, women are twice as likely to suffer from headaches and are more likely to experience joint, back or neck pain. These chronic conditions often require regular and frequent treatment and follow-up care. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/women/index.html
4. Hard Times in the Heartland: Throughout rural America, there are nearly 50 million people who face challenges in accessing health care. The past several decades have consistently shown higher rates of poverty, mortality, uninsurance, and limited access to a primary health care provider in rural areas. With the recent economic downturn, there is potential for an increase in many of the health disparities and access concerns that are already elevated in rural communities. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/hardtimes
5. Small Businesses Struggle to Provide Health Coverage: Nearly one-third of the uninsured – 13 million people – are employees of firms with less than 100 workers. From 2000 to 2007, the proportion of non-elderly Americans covered by employer-based health insurance fell from 66% to 61%. Much of this decline stems from small business. The percentage of small businesses offering coverage dropped from 68% to 59%, while large firms held stable at 99%. About a third of such workers in firms with fewer than 50 employees obtain insurance through a spouse. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/helpbottomline
6. The Tragedies are Personal: Half of all personal bankruptcies are at least partly the result of medical expenses. The typical elderly couple may have to save nearly $300,000 to pay for health costs not covered by Medicare alone. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/inaction
7. Diminishing Access to Care: From 2000 to 2007, the proportion of non-elderly Americans covered by employer-based health insurance fell from 66% to 61%. An estimated 87 million people – one in every three Americans under the age of 65 – were uninsured at some point in 2007 and 2008. More than 80% of the uninsured are in working families. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/inaction/diminishing/index.html
8. The Trends are Troubling: Without reform, health care costs will continue to skyrocket unabated, putting unbearable strain on families, businesses, and state and federal government budgets. Perhaps the most visible sign of the need for health care reform is the 46 million Americans currently without health insurance – projections suggest that this number will rise to about 72 million in 2040 in the absence of reform.
This list is nothing more than the very lies and distortions that it says it is fighting against.

Cash for Clunkers is yet another example of the government worsening our economic situation. at first glance the bill might seem plausible. The program gives citizens the option to trade in their old “gas guzzlers” in for a newer, more fuel efficient car. Those who participate can receive a rebate of up to $4,500 to $5,500 towards the purchase of a a new fuel-efficient car. So far the program has spent $1 billion that has led to the sale of 250,000 new vehicles. Now the Obama Administration is pushing for a $2 billion expansion of the program.

There are certain factors of society that the U.S. Constitution forbids government to interfere with, such as the free market. The reason being that it is a danger to the welfare of America. The Constitution set borders for our government, and when government oversteps those borders, bad things happen.

This program has been causing Americans to sell their American cars and trade them in for foreign ones. The Department of Transportation has reported that the top five trade-ins are all American cars, while six of the top ten (as well as four of the top 5) of the new cars are foreign. So instead of stimulating our economy, this new bill has helped to stimulate foreign country’s economies such as Japan. And in doing so has taken American cars off the road, and has replaced them with foreign cars. Obama is not stimulating our economy and producing jobs, he is only worsening our economic situation.

Many are afraid that the Government might one day make the trade in of fuel inefficient cars mandatory. I wouldn’t put it past them to do so. We the people have to keep in check corrupted politicians who try to pass legislature that takes freedom away from the people, and gives it to the government. We haven’t done a good enough job in the past, and have allowed our government to take away some of the freedoms granted to us by the Constitution. Mark Levin, in his book: Liberty And Tyranny, explains how our government has overstepped Constitutional limits in several areas of society. Liberty and Tyranny is a great read for any Conservative who wants to know how far our country has come from its Conservative roots, and how we can bring it back.

Tuesday, Aug 4, the blog at www.whitehouse.gov posted an article titled: Facts Are Stubborn Things. In this article they try to convince the public that all the e-mails and blog posts regarding Obama’s Health Care plan circulating the internet are just scare tactics, and that we shouldn’t listen to them. The article includes a video by Linda Douglass, the Communications Director for the Office of Health Reform. This was written by the author underneath the video:

“There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.”

So if I disagree publicly with the Administration on health insurance reform, so if you or I disagree with the White House on Health Reform, they want someone to report us to them? How strange. On his radio talk show, Rush Limbaugh suggested that they are compiling a list of enemies. Most likely they are trying to find unconvinced Americans to preach the Obama message to. Anyways, the whole thing is “fishy”.

It is sad that America has gone so far down the road of statism that our President and many of our Congressional leaders are attempting to pass a bill that will nationalize our health care. This is yet another step towards socialism! The bill, H.R. 3200, will cost over $1 trillion. H.R. 3200 is even more costly than the economic stimulus bill passed earlier this year! Those of you who think that the stimulus bill was a good idea, don’t you think that we might be spending just a tad too much? Our national debt has climbed to 11 trillion, and the liberals in Congress haven’t done anything to stop it’s climb. Instead they spend their time and energy passing bills that take away power from the people and give it to the government, and spend so much money that we can’t hope to pay it off any time soon. It is our duty as Americans to make sure that they do not pass this bill. Winston Churchill was one of the great politicians of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Churchill once said that whoever does not learn from history is destined to repeat it. Throughout history, it ha been made clear that printing massive amounts of money to throw at all your problems temporarily solves problems, but in the end causes runaway inflation. But the money being spent is not the most troubling aspect of this new bill. Everything about this new health care system would be regulated by the government. Government would also cut funding for Medicare and mandate “end life” counseling. This health care system would depend on a rationing mechanism, and this rationing would begin with the elderly. No one should have the right to take away your right to life, even if you don’t have much longer to live. This bill is loaded with dangerous and unconstitutional items. Among these are included Government restriction of the enrollment of special needs people in Nationalized health care, as well as the exemption of individual taxes, purchasing mandates, and fines for non resident aliens, that are required of every legal, U.S. citizen. This is simply outrageous.
A recent Rasmussen poll found that the majority of Americans oppose Obama’s plan for government-run health care. Yet these liberals continue to try to shove it down our throats. Certain Republicans who have the guts to fight back against this madness have proposed 31 amendments to H.R. 3200, all of which the Democrats have opposed. One would have allowed states to opt out, another would have prevented taxpayer-funded health benefits from going to illegal immigrants, yet another would have prevented bureaucrats from making personal medical decisions for patients. The list goes on and on. The fact that Democrats said no to all of these amendments makes their purpose clear: To take away more of our individual freedoms, and give it to themselves. We as Americans must stop these bureaucrats from bringing this bill into effect. The consequences of anything less are dire. If your Senators and Representative have not announced plans to vote against this bill, please call or e-mail them and beg them to oppose it.

Statists come up with the most tricky schemes to advance their agenda. The current media hype over Global Warming is a prime example of one of these schemes. So many people have been deluded into thinking that Global Warming is a real problem, and that mankind needs to take action to stop it. So much time and money is spent to try and convince American citizens, as well as citizens from other countries of the truth of Global Warming. The economic “stimulus” bill that our Congress and Presidential Administration passed earlier this year included tons of money for the production of “green” cars and “green” facilities, among other things, in order to slow global warming. Al Gore, our 45th Vice President, starred in the 2006 documentary: An Inconvenient Truth, which was used to scare more people into believing that the earth is experiencing global warming and allowing the liberals to spend more money and take away more of our freedoms all in the name of fighting Global Warming. It is sad to see that more and more people are jumping on the global warming bandwagon. Corrupted politicians use global warming to push their political agenda. Most of these politicians are Statists who use popular belief in global warming to gather money and support for their twisted politics. I hope that this article helps you to see that global warming is nothing but statist propoganda.

Carbon Dioxide is an important part of the Earth’s atmosphere, without it, plants could not photosynthesize and instead would starve. Of course mankind could not survive without trees, because the oxygen content in the air we breathe would slowly decrease to zero. Carbon dioxide is also one of the greenhouse gasses, which means that it contributes to a process known as the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect is the process by which certain gases (principally water vapor, carbon dioxide, and methane) trap heat that radiates from earth. In other words, of all the energy that comes from the sun in the form of light, some of this energy is radiated from the earth, back into space in the form of infrared light. Greenhouse gases trap some of this infared light, and uses it to heat up the atmosphere.
Since the industrial revolution in the 1800’s, the concentration of Carbon Dioxide in the earth’s atmosphere has increased enormously. Many assume that since man has pumped so much more Carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere, the greenhouse effect must trap more heat, and in so doing, raise the average global temperature of the earth. This is simply not true. As man has pumped more and more Carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, the temperature has stayed virtually the same. Also, although man has pumped so much Carbon Dioxide into the atmosphere, 97% of the Carbon Dioxide content in the atmosphere is produced by natural cause. The 3% that man has placed in the atmosphere is just not enough to cause global warming.

Al Gore is one of the many Statists who have profited hugely by spreading global warming propaganda. The more people believe in global warming, the more money they will be glad to give to global warming advocates like Al Gore. The consequences of this propaganda reach further than the personal gain of corrupted politicians. I have already mentioned that the economic stimulus bill contained millions of dollars for the production of “green” cars and facilities. It is disappointing that so many Americans have fallen for this trick.

P.S. Did you know that many of the people who say that global warming is happening now were the same people who were freaking out about global cooling in the 70′s? ‘Calvin Lyman

According to the latest Rasmussen Polling, President Barrack Obama’s approval rating has gone down to 51% among Americans, the lowest that they have ever been. President Obama defeated Senator MCcain in the Presidential race by 52% of the vote. For the first time, Obama has been actually losing support. Only months after his election, Obama’s propoganda is starting to wear thin. More Americans are beginning to see that the Administrations massive spending is not solving our nation’s problems. If this keeps up, the 2012 Republican Party nominee for President will likely not have trouble getting into office. Also, the fact that Senator MCcain was not a very Conservative nominee hurt him in his run for President. If the Republican Party can muster up a good Conservative leader for the run in 2012, they will gather much more support among the people. Let’s hope that more Americans will wake up and reject the propoganda that the liberals try to feed to them.

Earlier this year, Congress passed an $800,000,000,000 stimulus package, supposedly designed to stimulate the economy. So far it has proved to be an utter failure. Apart from a few short term gains, our economy has only suffered from this massive Government spending. As of today, the U.S. National debt is $11,528,000,000,000!
If this dept was divided among the estimated 306,000 people in America, each citizens share of this debt would be $37,611. The National Dept has continued to increase an average of 3.88 Billion since September 28, 2007. Unemployment rates are approaching 10%. The stimulus bill has done nothing to help our economy, but instead has made it worse by adding to the debt that America has already built up. Now the Democrats are pressing for another massive spending bill to add to the last one! President Obama has said that another stimulus bill is not needed at the moment, but will not take any options off the table for addressing a potentially deepening economic crisis. A second economic stimulus package would only do more damage to our economy. We who love America must fight against the passing of such a bill, and any other bill that promotes massive Government spending. You can help fight against a second stimulus package by sending an e-mail to your State’s Senators, your local Representative, and the White House with your thoughts.
